Callie’s Coffee Chocolate Cupcake

 

A beautiful combination of Gabbie’s FAVORITE treats! Coffee. Chocolate. Cupcakes! All in one!

This delicious cupcake started with a chocolate cupcake (see chocolate cupcake post for recipe), topped with a homemade butter cream frosting with coffee liqueur.

Coffee Liqueur Buttercream Frosting: (Frosts apx. ~ 36)

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 sticks of butter (softened)
  • 4 tablespoons of Kahlua coffee liqueur

Directions:

  1. Beat the softened butter with a mixer (preferred) until smooth and fluffy. {basically ’til it starts to look like frosting}
  2. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar, and beat on medium speed.
  3. Once the frosting looks smooth, add the Kahlua and beat for another 3-5 minutes.
  4. Frost the cooled cupcakes, and enjoy!
